FAQs

What can I expect from this blog?

I intend to post about 3 times a week to start as I’d like to engage in regular communication as we build this community together. Because of my background and personal experiences, you’ll often see a lot of Scripture references, application to my life, life lessons I’m learning, intersections of the background context of personal life, along with reflections. I hope to challenge you by thinking deeply about the Scripture and how God may be revealing Himself to you, so I’ll often give reflective questions and/or make suggestions for exercises that can encourage practical application of the subject matter of discussion. Ultimately, I believe you should take all of your questions, wrestling, thoughts, emotions, & everything to God in prayer and Biblical study. I believe in the power of prayer and worship and I believe you should have a body of faith in a Christian church community where you are a member and can learn and grow. I am NOT a pastor, so please find a local church body for spiritual covering and equipping.

What is a Sojourner?

Regardless of where you and I are in our faith journey, we are always at a point for greater learning and spiritual growth and maturity. As a result, we refer to those who subscribe to and follow this business on social media and/or provide ongoing support of any kind as fellow sojourners to reiterate that we are all in the global community of faith. To stay up to date with all things Faith 2 Faith, we welcome you to subscribe and check us out on social media platforms.

Where do you get your information from?

Of note, on this website and the home site (www.faith2faithjourney.com), these views are representative of my own thoughts, feelings and personal spiritual journey with God. They are not representative of any past or current employer of which I’m employed. These thoughts represent my own in totality. Any resources used on this website will be cited accordingly. However, my use of those resources incorporated with my personal experiences are my interpretation of said sources.

What is the Guide for Engagement?

The Guide for Engagement is an agreement to engage with the author and other commenters with respect and compassion. This is meant to be a safe space. Debating, negative commentary, inappropriate or vulgar words, for example, will not be tolerated. By engaging and commenting on this site, you agree to maintain this level of respect. In addition, you should use discretion in the amount of details you share about your life. The goal is to build community surrounding how we depend on God, learn what He’s teaching and grow in our walk with Him, so the context can be understood as a backdrop to the lessons we are all learning rather than be the focus. Anything that distracts from edifying, building up, encouraging, affirming, and being gracious is likely unnecessary at the minimum and inappropriate at the worst. This Guide should apply to all Faith 2 Faith Journey media outlets.

Are comments allowed?

Yes, when the comment feature is on. In fact, I encourage participation. I desire to know how God is working in your life and the testimonies He’s building on your behalf. Your comments should always remain respectful and kind.  (Please see the Guide for Engagement question above.) Please do not share personal identifiable information (such as personal numbers, address, financial or legal identifiers, etc.) at all or protected healthcare information that you do not want on a public page. Even certain details may be inappropriate with the amount of sharing and the depth depending on the concern.

Faith 2 Faith Journey will not be responsible for the amount of views into this information shared by commenters and what that information could be/is used for by other viewers and third parties who may frequent the site. Faith 2 Faith Journey encourages sharing for the purposes of building faith and encouragement in this community.
